This role is responsible for managing customer credit, collections, and chargeback reconciliation to ensure timely payment and minimize financial risk. The position focuses heavily on resolving customer deductions and disputes, monitoring accounts receivable, and collaborating across departments to support smooth order fulfillment and cash flow. The role also supports the Credit Supervisor through reporting, training assistance, and limited supervisory coverage when needed.
Customer Chargeback & Deduction Reconciliation:
Independently investigates and resolves customer deductions, including negotiating with customers and proposing alternative solutions to close disputes efficiently.
Collections & Payment Monitoring:
Tracks outstanding invoices to ensure prompt customer payment. When payments are delayed, identifies root causes and works toward resolution to reduce past-due balances.
Order Credit Approval:
Reviews and approves customer orders for shipment based on credit status and payment history.
Reporting & Forecasting:
Prepares regular reports for the Credit Supervisor, including cash flow forecasting and detailed status reports on past-due accounts receivable.
Department Support & Training:
Assists with training credit department staff as needed and performs limited supervisory duties when the Credit Supervisor is unavailable.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with Sales, Sales Support, Accounting, and other internal teams to resolve issues and support business operations.
Additional Duties:
Performs other related responsibilities as required to support the credit and finance function.
